Yet, by revelation, the Lord required the Church to be ORGANIZED, on April 6, 1830
Hello friend. I am aware of what happened back in the 1800's. I couldn't disagree with history. The question is, what is it that God wants of us now?
Where are we? Are we in the wilderness again? And why are we here? Shouldn't we find out? I know someone who knows the answer to that question. And He promised that if we ask, seek, and knock, we will receive what we stand in need of.
the admonition of Jesus that, "I will build my church,"
Yes. Jesus will build His church. He will build it. But building it up is not the same as the organization. Organization is something that can and does happen, as needed, to help better "perform" the work as it grows. Even as we find happened in the Book of Acts. It did not happen overnight because organization wasn't essential before they could do anything. The work began long before the church was fully organized. It organization came later, beginning simply with his disciples, then further organization happened over time, as it became necessary in order to accomplish the work.

Central to us coming to understanding with one another, I think, is defining the church.

Behold, this is my doctrine: Whosoever repenteth and cometh unto me, the same is my church; whosoever declareth more or less than this, the same is not of me, but is against me; therefore, he is not of my church. DC 3:16

Simply stated... the church is the people, wherever they may be found, who meet the criteria above. Nothing about organization there. In fact, members of the Body of Christ (the church) may or may not be members of different organizations, groups, etc.

I believe we have made an IDOL out of the organization.

As I said before, organization happens as it becomes necessary in order to accomplish the work. But what is that work? No point in organizing a work if we don't even agree upon what that work really is. The work isn't organizing a church. It isn't even building up a church.
I believe most don't really know what it is we are supposed to be doing.
Most of those whom I see clamoring for organization don't seem to understand the work.
We cannot do a work unless we have instruction. Unless we are given the tools to do it. In fact, unless we are truly called or were truly hired for the job... a lot of time has passed since the 1800's. Have we heard God speaking to us lately?  I hope so.

We have entered a time when it is very dangerous to presume anything. We presume we are called, and what that calling is...  but do we? Maybe God is raising up another people? For sure, there is a problem with us as a people.  180 years and we came no closer to Zion than the day we started, and we were content instead to have the one and only true church. a lie. And we worked to build up that church, instead of the Kingdom. And worked to lead people to the church, instead of to Christ.
That is why we have been scattered.

The church already exists. Right now. God is doing a work with it.
The church can be in an organized state, or unorganized state.
We are currently in an unorganized, or scattered state. Why do you think that is? God always scatters his people when he needs to wrest the church out of the hands of men.
Is God's plan frustrated because the church is unorganized?  God's plans are never frustrated. Only man's.

The works, and the designs, and the purposes of God, cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to naught, for God doth not walk in crooked paths;  Remember, remember, that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men;  DC 2:1a DC 2:2a

Did God not know this time would come...  even that it was necessary? Is it not even the truth that His hand is behind it?

DC 59:5b and in nothing doth man offend God, or against none is his wrath kindled, save those who confess not his hand in all things...

How can we think to undo what God has done until we are sure we know what His reasons are, that we have come into alignment with His will?

And this is His will, above all... that HE alone is the head of HIS church, and no other.

My friend, it is the end of the church age, and the beginning of the Kingdom Age!

This I will say to one and all with all confidence as a servant of the Living God:  If we proceed with our assumptions based on what was said and done in the past, without clearly hearing from God today, and we organize and appoint men to offices of position, we will be attempting to serve two masters... and we WILL be frustrated in our efforts, as everyone before now has been, and it will fail. The best it could hope to achieve is a FORM of godliness which denies the power thereof.
