Carrie,

I will not attempt to interpret your first dream.  I believe you already know what this means by how you worded it and that you said how you believed this was a test.  Now I would simply add that I do not believe it was necessarily a "test", but a lesson where you were being taught from on high.  For me, our dreams is a place of learning and practicing in a safe environment.  A place where we can make mistakes and not be severely harmed in the process.  But you did not appear to fail at all, but had a resounding victory!

This dream follows a pattern outlined in scripture.  Many of us know it as Section (22) and you may know it as Moses (1).  Moses has an encounter with God, then God pulls away and Moses is confronted by Satan.  Moses rebukes Satan and then the Spirit of God returns.  This is a fascinating account and the lesson is profound:  To be able to distinguish between the true light of God and the falseness of Satan.  So as I read your dream I thought, "Wow, I heard this before!" and I knew exactly where to find the same account in scripture.

Another thing that came to my mind is this:  You chose to sing hymns which I found interesting and it appeared to work!  It puzzled me why you chose to do this, meaning that singing hymns was the first thing which came to your mind "naturally" as a form of deliverance.  I find this fascinating and then to see how it worked for you.  Servant has a profound teaching regarding the "Five Stones of David" or the representation of the different stones used for deliverance.  It is a great teaching and I hope he can share it again.

Still thinking about the second dream.  Powerful imagery!  But my mind is still on the first.  Anyway, just my thoughts...
