from an LDS perspective, interracial marriage is accepted. My bishop is married to a beautiful Korean woman, she was born and raised in Seol Korea. They have been married for over 25 years and they have a wonderful relationship. I think wone of the reasons why interacial marriages are not encouraged is that a marriage combines and blends two different people from different backgrounds, and the more similar those backgrounds are to start out with, the easier it will be to blend together- that is also why marrying someone of the same faith is also encouraged. I have to add that I am LDS and am married to a non practicing Lutheran and we have been married for almost 10 years.
I really think the most important thing for your marriage is not if other people accept your marriage, but if you and your spouse are willing to work through the good and the bad and the in between, then it doesn't matter what other people think, you will have a marriage that grows.
that's my 2 cents!
